Without doubt, dubbing is one of the more difficult skills for fly tyers to learn.

Because of this Semperfli developed it’s range of ‘dubbing on a rope’ products, ready made yarns which can simply be tied and would onto a hook.

Developed twin strands Semperfli Dirty Bug Yarn can be used straight off the spool for larger flies or split into single strands for smaller flies.

Semperfli have created a range of colours stunning for both new fly tyers and skilled fly tyers alike.

Semperfli Dirty Bug Yarn is specially designed with a mix of natural and synthetic materials.

Semperfli Dirty Bug Yarn was designed resulting from our work with different dubbings.

Semperfli looked at dubbings in the market and realised many dubbings including their own different types of dubbings were often ‘single color’ dubbings.

Whereas in reality if you look at a fly or nymph for example a baetis nymph it may be olive in colour but it is usually a mix of colors, nature is not monochromatic or single colour.

From this Semperfli had some of thier Pro Team work on what they called ‘Dirty Dubbing’ or blends of colors to make a better fly body whether it be a dry or nymph.

From that work Dirty Buy Yarn was born. Semperfli took a range of essential dubbing colors and blends suitable for specific families of flies like caddis.

•  Twist Dirty Bug Yarn to form detached bodies.
