The action of the MPR and the weight of the line are matched in order to imitate, as closely as possible, the feel of a full-size fly rod.

Because the MPR is so close to casting “the real thing”, the indoor skills that you acquire with the MPR will translate into better casting on the water.

The rope “flyline” provides sufficient drag on indoor rugs to practice roll casting and single hand spey casts.
