The Ahrex FlexiStripper is a flexible easy to assemble line stripping tray with neoprene belt.
The blue base comes without pegs installed. All you need to do is cut the pegs free and stick them throught the hole ( from the bottom) of the FlexiStripper.
Control unweildy running and shooting lines with the Ahrex FlexiStripper. Super light and easy to travel with the Flexistripper is a must in windy conditions when long casts are the norm.
More info on the FlexiStripper from the team at Ahrex:
Flexistripper is an easy-to-use alternative to a traditional stripping basket. Compared the Flexistripper features no sides, but has other advantages over the traditional basket. We’d like to offer a little advice on how to get the most out of your Flexistripper.
Placement of The Ahrex FlexiStripper:
For a right handed caster the most natural placement of the Flexistripper will be slightly to the left, and for a left handed caster slightly to the right. How much depends on personal preference, and in strong sidewind, you can move the Flexistripper further to the side to keep it out of the wind.
Under normal conditions the belt is carried around the hip. When wading deeper, simply move the belt up on your torso until the Flexistripper clears the water.
The flexible high quality neoprene belt makes this possible with no or very little adjustment. NS – Mariager Fjord Flexistripper-04_web Flexistripper is easy to use, and you will soon find the way to place and use it, that suites you the best.
Use of The Ahrex FlexiStripper:
As you retrieve line, simply let go of it over the FlexiStripper. The long flexible pegs will catch the loops of line.
If the line hangs over the sides of the FlexiStripper, just let it – the flexible pegs will still release the line with very little resistance.
You should let the first strip of line land on the water – this ensures that the first piece of line doesn’t tangle when you make your next cast.
Assembling of The Ahrex FlexiStripper:
The “base-plate” itself comes without the pegs installed, but all you need to do is cut the flexible pegs from the molding off at the base with a sharp utility knife.
Insert the flexible pegs into the holes in the Flexistripper base (from the bottom of the Flexistripper, obviously) and pull them up until the hemispherical butt end is in contact with the plate.
Don’t glue them in case one needs replacement as some point.
Adjust the length of the belt and feed it through the two rectangular holes on the Flexistripper. That’s it – ready to fish!
Important Tip About The Ahrex FlexiStripper:
If the Flexistripper spikes for some reason have bent, you can put the whole Flexistripper (without the belt) into a warm oven (90-100 degrees Celsius) for 5-10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool down. This will straighten the pegs.
