Only non-motorized boats (canoe rentals available) are permitted in Rockwood Reservoir.

The GRCA owns The Rockwood Conservation Area (access fees apply). Access to the fishing can be good from shore or by canoe.

The reservoir is suitable for canoes which can be launched at the old mill area or by the beach. Canoe rentals are available.

Rockwood Reservoir is a great place to fish from a canoe or from shore. For people seeking trout, try fishing the incoming river near the mill ruins or from the dam with small spinners or a float and worm rig early in the season. As the water warms through June, target carp and smallmouth with baits fished near bottom.
