“I have a number of favorite rods in the series but one that comes to mind is the 7’1” Plastics casting rod (LBC71MF) with medium power and a fast tip, which I prefer for target crankin’ square bills because it allows me to make super accurate casts,” Hudnall says. “I also do a lot of flipping, and like the 7’6” medium-heavy moderate-fast casting rod (LBC76MHMF) for fishing heavy wood, brush piles, big laydowns and cover like that. I also flip a lot with it in heavy grass with 50- to 60-pound braid and that rod handles the line just beautifully. I like a heavy cover flippin’ rod that’s got a little bit of give to it—a rod that loads up,” he adds. “This particular rod loads really well. It’s one of my go-to rods for sure.”
