Each lure is hand assembled and handpainted the same way lures were made a 100 years ago.
A few miles north of Orillia, Ontario sits a small creek, Shadow Creek, that connects to Lake Couchiching.
Every spring this creek would flood and become a perfect breeding ground for spawning large mouth bass.
This is where the wooden waterbug lure was created more than twenty years ago.
In 1994 The Original Waterbug lure was made of pine wood and handpainted with picture frame eyescrews.
The Original Waterbug was very successful catching largemouth bass and northern pike that year.
After a few years of making prototypes and experimenting with topwater baits the MOTHER NATURE LURE CO. was born.
Handcrafted wooden lures will always be a source of pride and remind us of our early days at SHADOW Creek but our desire to provide an expanded imported plastic production line led MOTHER NATURE LURE CO. to introduce new underwater/surface swimbaits.
The Lifelike Collection was launched in 2018. The Pike and the Sunfish are now available as a collectible series with the Baby Frog line currently under development and ready for market in 2020.
Certain lures in each series will have limited availability and they will be retired over time thereby ensuring good value and a worthwhile addition to your tackle box collection.
As always, you know that you can trust MOTHER NATURE LURE CO. to deliver a quality, detailed lure that will stand the test of time.
